Hotel General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will lead the Super 8 Fort Nelson hotel, ensuring top‑notch financial performance, exceptional guest service, high employee engagement, and strong risk management. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, this hands‑on leader will own all aspects of hotel success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, direct and manage all hotel operations.
• Identify performance, productivity and efficiency gaps and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of company standards across purchasing, accounting, human resources and operations.
• Maintain guest service quality, cleanliness and preventative maintenance programs.
• Mentor, train and develop hotel management personnel.
• Oversee revenue management, sales and marketing initiatives to drive profitability.
• Recruit, interview, train, coach and motivate employees.
• Prepare annual capital and property budgets, cash flow forecasts and sales/marketing plans.
• Analyze financials to maximize revenue, profitability and return on investment.
• Manage risk and protect the hotel’s professional reputation.
• Foster a culture of decisive, results‑focused leadership and employee ownership.
• Develop measurable action plans to drive high performance and exceptional guest service.
• Advocate for employee engagement and workplace health and safety.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of hotel management experience.
• College or university diploma in hospitality (asset).
• Proven track record of handling multiple projects and achieving financial targets.
