HCA Instructor – Part‑time (Langford, BC)

About the role

Discovery Community College is seeking a dedicated HCA Instructor to deliver in‑person lab and clinical training in the Langford region. This part‑time position starts on July 6, 2026, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, and a rate of $33‑$35 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality instruction in clinical settings using a preset curriculum aligned with PTIRU compliance.
• Execute lesson plans, supervise hands‑on training, and ensure student safety.
• Assess student performance, deliver constructive feedback, and maintain a collaborative learning environment.
• Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing education.

Required profile

• Minimum 2,800 hours of nursing experience, including maternity, mental health, or acute care.
• Current full registration with the BCCNM as an LPN, RN, or RDPN.
• Recent experience (within two years) in a long‑term care facility in Canada.
• Strong communication and mentorship abilities; ability to travel to local sites.
• Previous instructor experience and familiarity with Office 365 and Student Information Systems are assets.
