Assistant Superintendent, Student Services & Wellness

About the role

The Frontier School Division is seeking a visionary leader to oversee Student Services, Guidance, and Wellness across the division. This senior role will shape systems, strategies, and supports that impact every learner, fostering inclusive, trauma‑informed practices that link wellbeing with achievement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for inclusive education, guidance, counselling, wellness, and clinical services.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate short‑ and long‑term strategic priorities aligned with divisional goals.
• Support creation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and practices related to student holistic well‑being.
• Lead a consultative, equity‑centered service delivery model that addresses diverse academic, behavioural, social‑emotional, and wellness needs.
• Coordinate professional learning for Student Services and Wellness staff to build capacity and evidence‑informed practice.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Inclusive Education preferred) or active pursuit of a Master’s.
• Permanent Manitoba teaching certificate or eligibility for certification.
• Deep understanding of Student Services, Guidance, Counselling, and Wellness programs.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Indigenous youth and knowledge of Indigenous ways of knowing, being, learning, and doing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning frameworks and ability to lead system‑level implementation.
