E‑Learning Specialist – Enterprise Asset Management

About the role

The City of Hamilton is seeking an E‑Learning Specialist to design, develop and manage digital training programs for its Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. Reporting to the Manager of Departmental Planning, Performance & Continuous Improvement, you will ensure staff across Public Works and other divisions can effectively use the Infor EAM (Hexagon/Octave) platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, create, deliver and maintain e‑learning modules, videos, SOPs and virtual instructor‑led courses for the EAM system.
• Partner with EAM super‑users, HR, IT and divisional leads to identify training needs, update content after system changes and track completion metrics.
• Champion standardized templates, processes and resources to sustain consistent e‑learning practices.
• Maintain training records in the corporate Learning Management System, monitor completion rates and learner feedback, and report on adoption metrics.

Required profile

• University degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design or a related field.
• Three to five years of experience developing e‑learning and virtual instructor‑led training content.
• Experience working on large IT transformation projects and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Articulate Storyline (or Articulate 360) and Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop, Premiere).
• Camtasia, Vyond and Uperform for multimedia authoring.
• SCORM and xAPI compliance for e‑learning publishing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Infor EAM Hexagon/Octave modules and Learning Management System integration.
