Design Co‑op – Fall 2026

About the role

Join HDR’s award‑winning Toronto studio as a Design Co‑op for the Fall 2026 semester. You will work on a variety of projects in transit, healthcare, education and science, gaining mentorship from experts in mass timber, sustainability and computational design.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in producing design and construction drawings.
• Create diagrams, renderings and walkthroughs to communicate design intent.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical and electrical teams.
• Collaborate with large multidisciplinary teams and work independently under senior guidance.
• Attend site visits, internal and external meetings.
• Participate in office culture and design events.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent problem‑solving and active‑learning abilities.

Required skills

• Excellent graphic, rendering and visual storytelling abilities.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Software.
• Proficiency with Rhino, V‑Ray, Grasshopper and SketchUp.
• Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
