Interior Design Director

About the role

The Senior Interior Designer will lead the delivery of high‑quality hospitality and multi‑family residential interior environments, combining creative excellence, technical expertise, and strong client‑facing capabilities. This role guides the design process from concept through construction, ensuring functionality, aesthetics and regulatory compliance within the Canadian context.

Key responsibilities

• Lead concept development, space planning, material selection and FF&E direction for hospitality and multi‑family residential projects.
• Produce and oversee interior design deliverables across all phases, from concept and schematic design through design development, tender and construction documentation.
• Create compelling client presentations, design packages and visual storytelling materials that communicate the design narrative.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers and consultants to ensure design quality, regulatory compliance and seamless integration.
• Mentor junior designers and support stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering interior design projects in the Canadian hospitality and multi‑family residential sectors.
• Strong understanding of Canadian building codes, regulations and construction processes.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage complex projects from concept to completion.
• Excellent client‑facing skills and ability to present design solutions persuasively.
