Course Lecturer – Psychological Tests (PSYC 406)

About the role

The Department of Psychology at McGill University is seeking a qualified instructor to teach the course Psychological Tests (PSYC 406) during the Fall 2026 term. This role involves delivering lectures, guiding classroom discussions, and evaluating student work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver formal lectures on psychological measurement theory and practice.
• Organize and facilitate classroom discussions and student presentations.
• Assess assignments, research projects, and presentations related to test development, validation, and application.
• Supervise teaching assistants assigned to the course.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in psychology; PhD preferred.
• Prior university teaching experience, preferably in related psychology courses.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.

Required skills

• Knowledge of psychological testing techniques, including intelligence tests, projective tests, questionnaires, structured interviews, rating scales, and behavioral/performance tests.
