Construction Coordinator

About the role

Bitdeer Energy Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented Construction Coordinator to support field execution, scheduling, and contractor coordination for data‑center builds and power‑plant facilities. The role acts as Bitdeer’s on‑site representative, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the on‑site “eyes and ears,” verifying construction aligns with design, contractual quality, performance, and schedule requirements.
• Lead on‑site safety audits, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce OH&S regulations including LOTO, hot‑work permits, confined‑space entry, and equipment safety.
• Oversee QA/QC processes, manage Inspection Test Plans, conduct field inspections, and resolve non‑conformance reports.
• Coordinate weekly construction planning, resolve spatial conflicts, and track RFIs, submittals, and SIMOPS against approved plans.
• Inspect incoming power‑generation equipment, verify documentation, and ensure proper storage and handling.
• Maintain daily construction logs, verify subcontractor progress billings, and compile turnover packages for commissioning.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering Technology, or a related trade certificate.
• 7‑10+ years of field‑based industrial construction experience in Alberta, with strong safety management and QA/QC exposure.
• Relevant certifications such as CSO, CSTS‑20, Standard First Aid; CRSP or NCSO is a strong asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with scheduling tools such as MS Project or Procore.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, and single‑line diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of field safety practices and QA/QC inspection protocols.
