About the role
Nexus CNC Machining Services Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join its Edmonton shop. You will operate both conventional and computer‑controlled machine tools to produce precision components for a variety of engineering projects.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
- Set up and adjust production machinery and tooling.
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerances.
- Operate conventional and CNC machine tools safely and efficiently.
- Verify dimensions of finished products using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance with specifications.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation (high school diploma).
- 3 to less than 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Availability to work day shifts and weekends as required.
Required skills
- CNC machine operation.
- Interpreting engineering drawings.
- Using precision measuring instruments.
