About the role
Geosapiens is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new revenue and expand existing relationships within the Canadian insurance market. The role sits at the intersection of insurance, data, technology and climate risk, and will involve selling SaaS‑based climate risk solutions to insurers and managing general agents.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects across the Canadian insurance sector.
- Represent Geosapiens at industry conferences and events to generate qualified leads.
- Manage a portfolio of B2B insurance customers as the primary commercial contact.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and decision‑makers.
- Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities to grow existing accounts.
- Lead customer reviews, reporting and strategic account discussions.
- Maintain accurate CRM data and provide pipeline insights for revenue operations.
Required profile
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in insurance, financial services or technology.
- Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and build strong relationships.
- Excellent communication and commercial storytelling skills.
- Self‑driven, curious and comfortable selling complex solutions.
- Experience in the Canadian insurance market is a strong asset.
- Bilingual in English.
