Building Operator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Building Operator to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of client facilities in Regina and surrounding areas. The role reports to the Facilities, Maintenance and Operations (FMO) Account Manager and involves independent work across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute responsive and planned maintenance using the building automation system (BAS) or other facility management tools.
• Supervise subcontractors, coordinate work schedules and ensure safety compliance.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical repairs and routine inspections.
• Respond to tenant complaints, conduct cleaning, painting, garbage and snow removal as needed.
• Maintain customer and vendor relationships, assist with quality control programs and progress reporting.
• Review work orders, contracts and WIP for risks and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience as a Building Operator, preferably in commercial facilities.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation systems and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to interact effectively with contractors, technicians and service providers.
• Valid Class 5 SK Driver’s License and ability to travel between sites.
• Successful completion of security clearance, criminal background and reference checks.
