Backend Developer – Remote (Contract, $20‑$70/hr)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our team on a contract basis. You will work remotely, designing and maintaining high‑performance backend services that power our applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Optimize systems for reliability, security, and efficiency.
• Write clean, well‑documented, and thoroughly tested code.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in backend development using modern languages.
• Extensive experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Deep understanding of system security, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
