About the role
HEABC is seeking a Team Lead for Labour Relations (Affiliates) to provide strategic labour‑relations advice and leadership to its affiliate members across British Columbia’s publicly funded health sector. Reporting to the Senior Director, Labour Relations, you will guide a team of consultants, support complex negotiations, and ensure high‑quality service delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Affiliate Services labour‑relations consultants, assisting with litigation and service queries.
- Liaise with internal negotiations, legal services, and labour‑relations teams to coordinate advice and approaches.
- Mentor and advise team members on complex labour‑relations matters, including collective agreements, legislation, human‑rights, and privacy issues.
- Interpret collective agreements, legislation, and policy for affiliate members.
- Lead or support hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as required.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in labour‑relations within the health or public sector.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team of consultants.
- Strong knowledge of collective agreements, employment legislation, human‑rights and privacy law.
- Experience conducting or supporting mediations and arbitrations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
