About the role
Join our Civil & Infrastructure team as a Survey Assistant and support large‑scale construction projects across challenging terrain. You will work alongside experienced surveyors, gaining hands‑on experience in layout and data‑collection tasks while ensuring precise, reliable measurements for successful project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior surveyors with point setting, measurement taking, and control establishment.
- Manage and maintain personal and ancillary survey equipment, including tripods, rods, prisms, and lighting.
- Prepare sites for layout tasks, install hubs, nails, stakes, and mark points as required.
- Work safely in active traffic corridors and difficult environments such as steep, slippery, or bushy terrain.
- Clear vegetation, dig search holes, and recover survey evidence when necessary.
- Track completed work, document findings accurately, and communicate information clearly to the field team.
- Support instrument setup, backsight placement, and calibration of survey tools.
Required profile
- Motivated and curious individual eager to develop surveying skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in decision‑making.
- Strong safety awareness and situational awareness on active construction sites.
- Willingness to accept mentorship and learn from experienced surveyors.
Required skills
