About the role

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one and instant online tutoring sessions focused on SSAT Middle Level sections (Quantitative, Verbal, Reading Comprehension, Writing Sample).
• Explain scaled scoring, percentile rankings, and the quarter‑point penalty scoring strategy.
• Teach vocabulary building, analogies, passage analysis, and essay writing techniques.
• Use official SSAT practice tests and timed drills to improve students' time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
• Adapt instruction to each student’s learning style and address common challenges such as advanced vocabulary and scoring penalties.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of SSAT Middle Level content and scoring methodology.
• Experience teaching students in grades five through seven, preferably for test‑prep or academic tutoring.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, friendly teaching style.
• Ability to identify struggling concepts and explain them using multiple approaches.
