Hospitalist Physician

About the role

Fraser Health is seeking a dedicated physician to join the Hospital Medicine program at Langley Memorial Hospital. The position offers a permanent acute‑care practice within a collaborative, inter‑professional team focused on high‑quality inpatient care.

Key responsibilities

• Admit and manage “unattached” patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP).
• Provide supportive care for selected surgical and specialty medical patients.
• Participate in rounding lines, admission shifts, overnight shifts, and virtual shifts with clinical associate support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that have reduced mortality ratios and length of stay.

Required profile

• Licensed (or eligible) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• Hold CCFP or FRCP credentials; ACLS certification strongly suggested.
• Hospitalist experience, fellowship training, or membership in professional hospital medicine societies is an asset.
• Passion for acute care, teamwork, and ongoing personal improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
