Corporate Tax Analyst / Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

The Corporate Tax Analyst / Senior Tax Analyst will support Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd and related entities with Canadian tax compliance, reporting, and audit activities. This in‑office position in Ottawa offers the opportunity to work on a variety of tax matters, from income tax provisions to indirect tax filings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly income tax provisions and related journal entries for Costco Canada entities.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of annual corporate income tax returns.
• Compile provision workbooks, journal entries, and unaudited financial statements.
• Prepare T4A‑NR, RL‑1, and NR4 tax slips and manage withholding tax remittances.
• Reconcile corporate tax general‑ledger accounts and calculate monthly income‑tax instalments.
• Support GST/HST, QST, and PST return preparation as needed.
• Coordinate internal audit and compliance reviews, gathering supporting documentation.
• Update internal training material and contribute to ad‑hoc tax projects.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting or related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum two years of Canadian corporate income tax experience.
• Bilingual (English/French) preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
