Junior Staff Accountant

About the role
We are seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join our team and work closely with partners and staff. This entry‑level position offers the chance to develop your accounting skills in a supportive environment that values professional growth.
Key responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliations and prepare trial balances.
- Post journal entries and prepare Notice to Reader financial statements.
- Bookkeep from bank statements, credit card statements and other financial documents.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for bank and various other accounts.
- Process payroll remittances and prepare HST returns.
Required profile
- Completed undergraduate degree or diploma with CPA pre‑requisites (PEP).
- 0‑1 year experience in an accounting or audit role.
- Strong desire to provide outstanding client service.
- Commitment to teamwork and proven leadership abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Sage 50.
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Familiarity with CCH TaxPrep.
- Familiarity with CaseWare.
