About the role
The Azeem Iftikhar Professional Corporation is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join its finance team in Edmonton. This full‑time permanent position supports day‑to‑day accounting operations and provides essential clerical support.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare the general ledger, journal entries, trial balance and bank reconciliations.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, record‑keeping and general office tasks.
- Address customer complaints or concerns related to billing and payments.
Required profile
- Ability to multitask and work accurately.
- Excellent oral communication and organized.
- Reliable, quick learner and a team player.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, Xero).
- Strong skills in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Comfortable using the Internet for research and data entry.
