Associate or Full Professor (Clinical) – Division Director, Endocrinology & Metabolism

About the role

The Department of Medicine at McGill University is seeking a full‑time academic leader to serve as Director of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism within the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). The appointment is at the rank of Associate or Full Professor (Clinical), with the rank determined by the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The division spans the Glen site (Royal Victoria Hospital), the Montreal General Hospital and Hôpital Lachine, providing clinical, research and teaching activities in endocrinology.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism across three MUHC sites.
• Develop and implement a strategic vision for clinical care, research and education in endocrinology.
• Foster collaborative research programs in diabetes, bone and thyroid disorders, metabolic‑brain interactions and energy metabolism.
• Oversee clinical services, ensuring high‑quality patient care and innovation.
• Mentor faculty, trainees and staff, and protect time for scholarly activities.
• Represent the division within the Department of Medicine and the broader academic community.

Required profile

• Established academic record in basic and/or clinical research in endocrinology or metabolism.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic or clinical setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate a clear vision for the division.
• Eligibility to work in Canada and hold an academic appointment at McGill University.
