About the role
This full‑time, on‑site position at the Wainwright Community Health Centre supports a range of community health programs, including public health, home care, allied health and children’s rehabilitation services. The role requires advanced administrative expertise and a strong command of computer applications.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain client records, database entries and filing systems.
- Handle procurement, inventory tracking and provide related reports to management.
- Deliver reception and registration services, including backup coverage.
- Process payments, perform basic accounting tasks, and manage financial documentation.
- Contact clients, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries.
- Facilitate communication across staff, management and the public.
- Provide general administrative support and act as a resource for the team.
Required profile
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Post‑secondary Administrative Certificate or comparable education/experience.
- Minimum two years of practical office experience.
- Demonstrated accuracy, intermediate computer skills and typing speed of at least 40 wpm.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse departments and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Adaptability to new systems, strong judgment, professionalism and discretion.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Calendar.
- Experience using the Windows Office Suite.
- Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills.
What we offer
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $25.72 to $31.25 CAD.
- Temporary full‑time position (0.85 FTE) with benefits.
- Shift pattern includes days, weekends and evenings on a rotating schedule.
