Windows Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Windows Administrator to support Windows systems, manage vulnerability remediation, virtualization, and resolve escalated L3 incidents with root‑cause analysis within a financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability remediation and patch management across the infrastructure.
• Administer Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016, Active Directory, and Exchange 2016.
• Manage physical and virtual environments using VMware ESX, vCenter and conduct P2V/V2V migrations.
• Handle L3 escalations, participate in on‑call rotations and ensure SLA compliance.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and execute firmware upgrades on HP, Dell and IBM servers.
• Implement security hardening, monitor performance and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience (profile targets 7–10 years).
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory and Exchange.
• ITIL knowledge; experience in Capital Markets is a plus.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work varied/on‑call shifts.

• Competitive salary range CAD $85,000–$90,000 per year.
