Analytics Engineer

About the role

Trolley is looking for a self‑driven Analytics Engineer to own and scale our end‑to‑end data pipeline. Working hybrid from one of our Montreal, Toronto or Halifax offices, you will enable data‑informed decisions across the company, our merchants and recipients.

Key responsibilities

• Extract and load data from various sources (connectors, APIs, CSV, etc.).
• Transform data to support expanding use‑cases and self‑service analytics.
• Apply modern AI tools to solve business problems and champion AI adoption.
• Scale the data pipeline while balancing cost, speed and security.
• Design and develop clear, actionable reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead data initiatives and collaborate with engineering on best practices.
• Perform ROI analysis on key initiatives and support other duties as defined.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end data pipelines.
• Strong communication skills for data‑related topics.
• Solid SQL expertise.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with code‑ownership practices (test‑driven development, literate code, separation of concerns).
