Vice President, Institutional Capital Raising

About the role

This senior position leads capital formation activities for a flagship open‑ended real estate fund and supports broader fundraising initiatives across a Canadian investment and asset management firm. Reporting to senior leadership, the VP will expand institutional investor relationships across Canada and select global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the fundraising strategy for the flagship real estate fund.
• Design and implement an institutional business development plan.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with pension plans, consultants, endowments, foundations, and family offices.
• Support capital raising for closed‑end funds and segregated accounts.
• Drive growth of the firm’s investor base and long‑term fund platform.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial, relationship‑driven professional with a proven track record in institutional capital raising within real estate, real assets, private markets, or alternative investments.
• Strong existing institutional investor relationships and credibility with senior investment professionals.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Sound commercial judgment and strategic thinking.
• Intellectual curiosity and a hands‑on approach to building a best‑in‑class fundraising platform.
