About the role

The British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a motivated co‑op student to join its Transactions & Total Portfolio Risk team for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 work terms. This internship offers hands‑on experience in risk management across both public and private market portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Develop risk factor attribution models for public equity portfolios.
• Design and produce risk dashboards for public and private assets.
• Enhance risk evaluation analytics and related processes.
• Support ad‑hoc projects such as what‑if scenario analysis.

Required profile

• Current co‑op or internship student interested in risk management.
• Enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., finance, economics, or related field).
• Ability to work within the Investment Strategy & Risk department and collaborate with a team of experienced risk professionals.
