Store Operations Manager (General Manager)

About the role

Insomnia Cookies is opening a new location in Guelph, ON and seeks a hospitality‑focused Store Operations Manager to lead the store from day one. You will receive comprehensive training, mentorship, and fast‑track growth opportunities while ensuring the store delivers the brand’s signature warm cookies and exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, coach, and develop a diverse part‑time team including Shift Leaders, Cookie Crew, and Delivery Drivers.
• Oversee food quality, customer service, employee friendliness, and store cleanliness.
• Build a culture of excellence that drives cookie quality, sales performance, and personal growth.
• Manage inventory controls and conduct regular audits.
• Design and execute local marketing drops and in‑store recognition programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of management or leadership experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Availability to work 2‑3 mid‑to‑late shifts Thursday through Sunday.
• Player‑coach leadership style with a genuine hospitality mindset.
• Technical acumen with restaurant/retail software and proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and MS Teams.
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System for hiring.
• Familiarity with commercial convection ovens is a plus.
