Site Supervisor

About the role

The Site Supervisor will lead daily operations at one of AIM's metal recycling facilities, ensuring efficient processing, transportation, and customer service while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Be actively present on the shop floor, supervising and coaching staff.
• Allocate trucks, coordinate transportation schedules, and manage supply of ferrous and non‑ferrous materials.
• Plan, lead, and oversee daily operations with sector supervisors.
• Monitor staff performance, prepare analytical reports, and provide corrective actions.
• Contribute to financial results, control operating costs, and prepare management reports.
• Develop a strong customer‑service culture and respond to local customer needs.
• Identify and implement process improvements and innovative solutions.
• Carry out local marketing initiatives to increase site visibility.
• Define, document, and update operational policies, procedures, and processes.
• Ensure strict compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of operational management experience, including at least 2 years in the metallurgical or related industry.
• Proven experience managing teams of 5+ employees with measurable results.
• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written) at a professional level.
• Ability to develop and execute operational strategies.
