Site Superintendent

About the role

BDN Construction is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead daily on‑site operations for commercial restaurant and retail projects in Toronto and across Ontario. You will ensure that work is performed safely, on schedule, and within budget while upholding the company’s high standards of quality and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all on‑site activities, ensuring strict compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to keep the project on track.
• Oversee scheduling, monitor progress, and report updates to the management team.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and briefings, enforcing safety protocols.
• Prepare daily progress reports and resolve on‑site challenges or conflicts.
• Mentor site staff and subcontractors, ensuring they meet quality and performance expectations.
• Ensure proper materials and resources are available for each construction phase.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a site superintendent on restaurant and retail projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and safety regulations.
• Proven leadership and organizational abilities.
• Expertise in construction safety and the ability to motivate teams.
• Experience managing subcontractor schedules and coordinating labor and materials.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for rapid issue resolution.
