Sessional Lecturer – Financial Distress & Insolvency (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga is seeking a qualified Sessional Lecturer to teach the course MGT442H5 Financial Distress & Insolvency during the Fall 2026 term. This short‑term appointment runs from September 1 to December 31, 2026 and offers an opportunity to contribute to the university’s teaching excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, lead discussions, and facilitate case‑based learning for undergraduate students.
• Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessment tools in line with the Academic Calendar.
• Provide timely feedback and grades to enrolled students.
• Maintain office hours and be available for student consultations.
• Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum development and course improvement.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (MSc, PhD, or equivalent) in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial distress, insolvency, and corporate restructuring.
• Prior teaching or lecturing experience at the post‑secondary level is preferred.

Required skills
