Sessional Instructor – Corporate Governance & Ethical Decision-Making

About the role

The Haskayne School of Business seeks a sessional instructor to teach MGST 451 (Corporate Governance & Ethical Decision-Making) during the Fall 2026 semester. The instructor will deliver multiple lecture sections, both face‑to‑face and online, to undergraduate business students.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures for four scheduled sections (Monday/Wednesday mornings and afternoons, Tuesday/Thursday evenings).
• Facilitate class discussions on corporate governance systems, agency problems, board roles, compensation structures, and financial modelling.
• Develop and grade assignments, case studies, and examinations in alignment with course objectives.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students, both in‑person and through digital platforms.
• Maintain course materials on the university’s learning management system.

Required profile

• Previous post‑secondary teaching experience (required).
• MBA degree or equivalent professional experience in finance, governance, or related fields (desirable).
• Demonstrated ability to teach both face‑to‑face and online.
• Commitment to inclusive and equitable teaching practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zoom for live virtual instruction.
• Experience using D2L (Desire2Learn) or similar learning management systems.
