Senior Tax Manager – 9-Month Contract

About the role

This 9‑month contract position supports tax planning, M&A due diligence, acquisition integration, and cross‑border structuring for a multinational client based in the Greater Toronto Area. The Senior Tax Manager will partner with Finance, Legal, and business teams to deliver technical tax guidance and operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Canadian tax compliance, including corporate income tax, GST/HST, transfer pricing, withholding tax, employment tax, and pension tax filings.
• Lead quarterly and annual tax provision processes, reporting disclosures, and uncertain tax positions under IFRS.
• Coordinate tax audits and disputes with tax authorities and external advisors.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and tax‑technology adoption to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
• Supervise and mentor internal staff and external advisors while meeting multiple deadlines.

Required profile

• CPA, CA, or equivalent accounting designation.
• 7+ years of progressive corporate tax experience in a multinational environment.
• 3+ years of leadership or team‑management experience.
• Strong expertise in Canadian tax, transfer pricing, cross‑border structuring, employment tax, and pension tax.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and tax accounting principles.
