Senior System & Network Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior System & Network Administrator to own the end‑to‑end health of our IT infrastructure in Ottawa. The role combines hands‑on management of physical networking, firewalls and virtualization with cloud identity and automation across a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Azure/EntraID cloud environments integrated with on‑premise Hyper‑V clusters.
• Manage the full lifecycle of Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) servers.
• Architect and implement Microsoft Intune MDM and MAM strategies, including Windows Autopilot.
• Manage core networking hardware such as Fortigate firewalls and UniFi switches, and oversee DNS, DHCP, and VOIP services.
• Serve as technical lead for ERP and productivity suites including NetSuite, O365, SharePoint and Manhattan Scale.
• Develop and document disaster recovery, PKI, and backup procedures and maintain an IT Playbook.
• Automate routine tasks using Python, Bash/PowerShell and SQL for data integrations and EntraID administration.

Required profile

• 10+ years of systems and network administration experience.
• Deep expertise in Active Directory, EntraID, GPO and O365 administration, including Conditional Access, MFA and RBAC.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, configuration profiles and application deployment.
• Hands‑on experience with VLANs, VPNs, firewall rule configuration (Fortigate) and switch reconfiguration.
• Proficiency in Hyper‑V management, including VM snapshots, high availability and resource allocation.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins or GitHub Actions for infrastructure‑as‑code and developer deployments.
• Background configuring IT infrastructure for large‑scale facilities such as warehouses or commercial buildings.
