Senior Officer, Communications and Marketing

About the role

The Senior Officer, Communications and Marketing will join CMHC’s External Affairs Team to help deliver federal government visibility events that showcase the National Housing Strategy. This temporary, hybrid position runs until March 2027 and supports the communication objectives across the Prairies and the North.

Key responsibilities

• Support a Communications Specialist in planning, preparing and executing visibility opportunities via media events and announcements.
• Lead the development and implementation of communications products and logistics for on‑site media events.
• Ensure quality control of all communications materials related to ministerial events and announcements.
• Maintain accurate reporting and data‑entry management for visibility activities.
• Manage relationships with vendors providing services for announcements.
• Coordinate multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Participate in regular check‑ins with CMHC project teams to review upcoming housing visibility opportunities.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, marketing, political science, public affairs, public administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in communications and/or public affairs.
