Senior Flight-Operations Satellite-Systems Engineer

About the role

As part of the System Engineering Department, the Flight Operations System Engineer will participate in analysis, planning and definition of constellation operations concepts, and in preparation, testing and execution of operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct trade‑off studies and design the overall Satellite LEOP plan.
• Develop and oversee Spacecraft In‑Orbit Operations Procedures, manuals, test procedures and associated training.
• Create verification & validation matrices for on‑orbit commissioning, routine and contingency operations.
• Support In‑Orbit Test (IOT), anomaly resolution and fault detection, isolation and recovery (FDIR).
• Operate satellite simulators and develop scripts for automated operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of practical experience with LEO/MEO satellite systems.
• Experience in automated satellite operations, systems engineering, and flight software integration.
• Proficiency in Python, Matlab and AGI’s Systems Tool Kit (STK).
• Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Windchill or Jama.
