Senior Cyber Security Project Manager (12-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cyber Security Project Manager to lead high‑visibility cyber and AI initiatives for a top‑tier Canadian financial institution. This 12‑month fixed‑term role combines strategic stakeholder engagement with hands‑on delivery of complex security programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of cyber security projects (API security, PAM, database monitoring, IAM, DLP) and AI programs from inception through technical delivery and governance.
• Interact with C‑suite executives, translate technical concepts, and negotiate scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Define and refine project scope in a highly regulated environment, managing ambiguity and changing requirements.
• Maintain financial discipline: forecasting, variance analysis, and contract management (experience with Clarity preferred).
• Proactively identify risks, push back on unrealistic estimates, and drive mitigation actions.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering cyber security and AI projects within a federally regulated financial institution.
• Exceptional executive‑level communication and influence skills.
• Strong financial management capabilities (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis).
• Solid understanding of system architecture, SDLC, integration, and hybrid/Agile delivery methods.
• Relevant certifications (PMP, CISSP, CISM, SAFe) are a plus but not mandatory.
