Senior Business Architect – Enterprise Transformation

About the role

This senior‑level position leads enterprise‑wide business architecture initiatives for a public‑sector client in Toronto. You will design, maintain, and align business architecture frameworks with the organization’s target state architecture while supporting large, complex transformation programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse government information and consult with stakeholders on business architecture elements.
• Lead research, discovery sessions, focus‑group workshops and requirements‑elicitation interviews.
• Develop and maintain business architecture artefacts within the OPS Enterprise Architecture framework.
• Create and sustain program and service definitions, business capabilities, and service‑integration models aligned to OPS standards and the Target State Architecture.
• Model business at enterprise, program and service levels, ensuring vertical integration with solution and information architecture documents.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in Business Architecture on large, complex projects.
• Proven ability to develop and align business architecture artefacts with enterprise standards.
• Strong experience in research planning, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder consensus building.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to package material for presentation.
