Security Analyst – Fully Remote (up to $90/hr)

About the role

Mercor is seeking a Security Analyst to work remotely on AI‑related security challenges. The role is a short‑term contract (approximately 2 months) paying $70–$90 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and review content for security vulnerabilities, focusing on pattern recognition and classification in an AI context.
• Apply systems‑programming and security expertise to improve AI model threat detection and reasoning.
• Work independently and asynchronously with a team of experts to solve real‑world problems.
• Craft, solve, and review challenging problems with real‑world applicability.
• Collaborate to enhance AI model performance and security assessment.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience programming in low‑level languages such as C, C++ or Java.
• Familiarity with security vulnerability classification frameworks (e.g., OWASP, CVEs).
• Understanding of core cybersecurity concepts, web security and common attack vectors.
• Strong attention to detail and pattern‑recognition abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Based in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia or New Zealand.
• Ability to pass an enhanced background check.
