About the role

Our client, an international freight forwarding and logistics provider, is looking for a motivated Sales Executive to drive new business and re‑engage existing accounts across the Greater Toronto Area. The role combines independent outside sales activities with full‑cycle account management.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within freight forwarding and logistics.
  • Contact lost and prospective clients to present service offerings and arrange in‑person meetings.
  • Conduct outside sales activities throughout the GTA several days per week.
  • Prepare and present freight and logistics quotations.
  • Follow up on company‑provided leads and independently research prospects.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity in the company’s TMS/CRM system.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.
  • Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

  • Previous sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or customs brokerage.
  • Experience working with small to medium‑sized freight forwarders or customs brokers is a strong asset.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable conducting outside sales and attending in‑person client meetings.
  • Must reside in the Greater Toronto Area and hold a valid driver’s license with personal vehicle access.

Required skills

  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
