Retail Performance Analyst

About the role

Sports Excellence is looking for a Retail Performance Analyst to turn network‑wide purchasing, inventory and sell‑through data into strategic insights and predictive tools. The role blends business intelligence expertise with deep retail analytics to help hockey retailers make smarter, data‑driven buying decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that visualise sell‑through performance, inventory aging, category momentum and forecast accuracy.
• Build scalable data models and automate ETL processes to ensure accurate, consistent, and accessible reporting across the network.
• Analyse purchasing and sell‑through data to identify seasonal demand patterns, over‑buy/under‑buy trends and category growth or decline.
• Create forecasting models and a user‑friendly predictive tool that supports merchants in planning preseason orders.
• Design training materials and lead data‑literacy sessions at the annual Sports Excellence Congress, supporting store owners throughout the year.

Required profile

• Strong background in business intelligence, retail analytics or merchandising analytics.
• Experience working with retail data, forecasting and predictive modelling.
• Ability to translate business questions into analytical requirements and BI solutions.
