Registered Pharmacy Technician

About the role

CareRx is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support safe and effective drug distribution across multiple long-term care facilities. The role focuses on preparing, packaging and delivering prescriptions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Verify that all prescriptions are complete, authentic and meet regulatory standards.
• Gather required information and confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and KROLL systems.
• Perform final checks on pharmaceutical products to ensure accuracy before release.
• Maintain accurate documentation, confidentiality and a clean pharmacy environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Experience in retail, community or long-term care pharmacy settings.
• Strong computer and work-processing skills with excellent verbal and written communication.

Required skills

• Knowledge of KROLL, PCC or Catalyst pharmacy systems.
• Familiarity with eMAR (electronic medication administration record) systems.
• Ability to perform accurate final checks and documentation.
