Registered Nurse – Nursing Resource Team

About the role

The Nursing Resource Team (NRT) at Hamilton Health Sciences provides flexible, high‑quality nursing coverage across seven hospital sites. As a Registered Nurse on the NRT, you will be deployed to a variety of patient populations, gaining exposure to medical/surgical, pediatrics, women’s health, peri‑operative and critical‑care environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care to patients across multiple hospital sites.
• Respond to staffing needs caused by patient acuity, sick leave, vacations and vacancies.
• Adapt quickly to changing clinical environments and work schedules, including rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development activities.

Required profile

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Recent acute medical/surgical nursing experience (preferably within the last five years).
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexibly across different hospital sites and shifts.
