Ranked Contract Faculty in Operations Management & Finance

About the role

McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management invites applications for a Ranked Contract Academic Staff (CAS) position jointly in Operations Management and Finance. The appointment starts on 1 January 2027 and is offered for an initial term of one, two or three years, renewable. This is a non‑tenure‑track role focused on undergraduate teaching and faculty administration.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to eight course sections per academic year, primarily in business statistics, with additional sections in operations management and finance.
• Contribute to the administration of the Operations Management and Finance areas and the broader faculty.
• Maintain a teaching portfolio and demonstrate effectiveness in business‑statistics or finance courses.

Required profile

• PhD in Operations Research, Operations Management, Statistics, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
• Ability to teach in English; knowledge of French or willingness to learn is desirable.
• Interest in the Faculty’s priority area of Analytics, AI & Advanced Digital Technologies.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
