Faculty Lecturer – Bioengineering (Full‑time)

About the role

The Department of Bioengineering at McGill University seeks a full‑time Faculty Lecturer to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in bioengineering. The appointment starts as a two‑year term with the possibility of extension, and the role includes contributing to curriculum development and departmental service.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate bioengineering courses (minimum 15 credits per academic year).
• Participate in departmental committees and contribute to program development.
• Incorporate equity, diversity and inclusion principles into teaching and learning activities.
• Engage with professional associations and industry to keep curricula aligned with sector needs.
• Support grant applications and supervise teaching laboratories.

Required profile

• PhD in Chemical, Biochemical or Biological Engineering.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in industry, the public sector, or academia.
• Eligibility for membership in a Canadian professional engineering association.
• Demonstrated excellence in university‑level teaching.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in teaching and mentorship.
