Project Associate - Building Restoration

About the role

Sense Engineering is seeking a motivated Project Associate/EIT to join its Building Restoration Consulting Team in Halifax. You will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, gaining hands‑on experience across project phases while delivering high‑quality solutions to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building evaluations, structural assessments, site reviews, and investigations.
• Support project coordination and contribute to successful project delivery.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless communication.
• Prepare evaluation reports, construction documents, and project proposals.
• Represent Sense Engineering at client meetings and networking functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Building Science, Restoration Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• Previous co‑op or internship experience in engineering consulting.
• Registered with or eligible for registration with the provincial engineering association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
