Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee large institutional building projects, multi‑residential developments, and low‑rise housing across Nova Scotia. The role involves leading construction activities, ensuring projects meet budget, timeline, and quality standards while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all construction activities on institutional, multi‑residential, and low‑rise housing projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently across different types of construction projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure design and construction alignment.
• Lead, mentor, and manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor and report on project progress for various developments, addressing any issues that arise.
• Ensure adherence to local building codes and regulations for different project types.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in construction management, focusing on institutional, multi‑residential, and low‑rise housing projects.
• PMP, P.Eng., or equivalent certification is an asset.
• Proven experience managing multiple large‑scale construction projects across various types.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, safety standards, and building regulations in Nova Scotia.
