Power Technician 2 – Shop (Leduc, AB)

About the role

Join Aggreko’s Leduc Service Center as a Power Technician 2 working in the shop environment. You will maintain and repair a range of power generation and compression equipment, ensuring reliable service for our customers and supporting sustainable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, compressors, diesel engines and electrical distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, diagnose issues and execute corrective repairs.
• Set up and operate equipment in the shop, working independently or alongside other technicians.
• Interpret schematics and calculate nominal and effective tonnage or kW requirements for equipment.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• Journeyman HET or Journeyman Industrial Electrician certification.
• 4‑7 years of experience with Cummins, Volvo or Jenbacher diesel or natural‑gas generators and compressors.
• Experience reading schematics and performing calculations for tonnage/kW.
• Valid driver’s licence and passport.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance of diesel and natural‑gas generators.
• Compressor repair and maintenance.
• Electrical distribution equipment troubleshooting.
• Schematics interpretation.
• Calculating nominal and effective tonnage and kW requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with Cummins, Volvo and Jenbacher equipment.
