Paralegal – PII Compliance (Remote, $40‑$70/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Paralegal / Legal Assistant specialized in Personally Identifiable Information (PII) compliance to support our legal and M&A teams. The role offers a contract engagement with flexible weekly hours and competitive hourly rates.

Key responsibilities

• Review, redact, and generalize sensitive documents to ensure PII compliance while preserving data utility.
• Support M&A documentation by preparing and managing Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), and related deal materials.
• Implement and maintain rigorous compliance protocols and reconciliation processes for complex data sets.
• Advise on structural identifiability of confidential workflows and proprietary procedures to meet industry best practices.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and finance teams to resolve PII‑related issues and provide subject‑matter guidance.
• Assist in drafting and revising compliance policies and training materials.

Required profile

• Minimum hands‑on experience with PII compliance in a legal or corporate environment.
• Proven ability to identify non‑obvious PII and apply advanced redaction and generalization techniques.
• Solid understanding of M&A processes, including familiarity with CIMs and SPAs.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and managing sensitive financial and corporate documents with meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for clarity.
