About the role
The National Account Manager is responsible for strengthening strategic relationships with existing customers and generating new business within a defined territory. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the role focuses on achieving sales growth targets, developing joint business plans, and expanding distribution channels.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain win‑win partnerships with key retail and wholesale accounts.
- Identify and nurture new business opportunities to meet profit and volume goals.
- Create and execute quarterly or annual sales plans for assigned accounts.
- Lead the end‑to‑end Product Line Review Process, including planning, alignment, execution, and presentation.
- Provide accurate pricing, availability, and product substitution options.
- Act as liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure requirements are met.
- Prepare clear written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Participate in trade shows, conventions, and company events.
- Develop distribution strategies, reselling agreements, and other growth initiatives.
- Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and promotional trends.
- Produce monthly sales reports, forecasts, and analytics.
Required profile
- University degree in business or marketing.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, account development, and distribution channel management.
- Strong relationship‑building, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and public‑speaking skills.
- Proven teamwork and people‑management capabilities.
