Music Lessons Teacher (Independent Contractor)

About the role

Long & McQuade is seeking enthusiastic music teachers to join its on‑site Lesson Centres as independent contractors. You will deliver private or group lessons to students of all ages, primarily focusing on guitar but also supporting a range of other instruments offered at the store.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individual or group music lessons according to established curricula.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment within the Lesson Centre.
• Coordinate lesson schedules and communicate with students and parents.

Required profile

• Music degree or diploma from a recognized university/college, OR a minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments professional equivalency.
• Proven teaching experience with children, teens, and adult learners.
• Familiarity with standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum for private or group instruction.

Required skills

• Proficiency in guitar instruction.
