Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Burlington, Ontario, working on custom equipment for heavy‑industrial customers. The role is hybrid, combining on‑site collaboration with remote design work.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3‑D models of equipment using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Produce 2‑D drawings and schematics with AutoCAD or Inventor.
• Support system design and optimisation, including design calculations.
• Generate part numbers in PCS and Autodesk Vault, and maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate with external vendors for component selection, manufacturing and assembly.
• Develop operation & maintenance manuals and bills of materials.
• Collaborate with process, electrical and software engineers to ensure integrated solutions.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience designing custom equipment for heavy‑industrial applications.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience using PDM systems, preferably Autodesk Vault.
• Familiarity with ERP software.
• Ability to read, understand and create pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
